Radar Definitions for Land Surveyors

Radar (radio detection and range)—An instrument for detecting the presence of an object and determining its location, by means of electromagnetic radiation emitted or reflected from that object. Direction is also usually obtained.

radar imagery—See imagery.

radar map—See map, radar.
