Swing Definition for Land Surveyors

swing [PHOTOGRAMMETRY]1 The rotation of a photograph in its own plane around the photograph perpendicular. 2 The angle at the principal point of a photograph measured clockwise from the positive y-axis to the principal line at the nadir point. 3 The swing of certain stereoscopic plotting instruments swing represented by ҡ; the angle of rotation of a photograph about its own plane measured relative to the axis of flight.
